According to the research that I've done I would like to do a project that circulates around homosexuality and adoption. Many places stated that only heterosexual places could adopt but shouldn't it be up to the mother to decide who should take her child? I would like to conduct a study on how many mothers actually get to decide who gets to adopt their child. Another project That I would like to conduct is a compare and contrast between adoption organizations and there beliefs on homosexuality.

  1. Stephanie,

    Great idea - good preliminary research - notice that some of your documents have gotten elderly.

    You could call 3-5 agencies, and ask them (for instance);
    1. What are the agencies in NYC that handle the most adoptions?
    2. What policies does your agency have regarding adoption by homosexual couples and/or individuals?
    3. How many adoptions has your agency handled in the last year involving homosexuals?

    Another couple suggestions - interview Rob and read "The Kid".

    Your idea strikes me as important, doable, and enlightening.

    Good luck!
